Changes in SGA Structure • Entertainment Activities Council (EAC) is no longer an allocating body • Budget Committee will be split in half - Day 1: ACES- Investment Club - Day 2: Imani- WRTC
How do I request funds? Step 1 • Google “Trinity SGA” and click first link • -Top tool bar says “SGA Forms.” • -Click and choose “Finance” from the dropdown.
How do I request funds? Step 2 • Fill out the “Financial Request Form.” • Write a cover letter • - Give an detailed explanation of the the event- costs, sources of funding, value of event • Email both documents to the Finance Secretary at sgafinance@trincoll.edu. • The Finance Secretary will contact you with the date, time, and location of your hearing
How do I request funds? Step 3 • Submissions are due noon the day before the SGABC meets for the week (TBA) • Please be on time and ready to answer questions about your event/activity • You will be emailed on Sunday night (unless there is a problem) about the committee’s decision. • You are allowed one appeal.
Allocating Guidelines • SGABC does not allocate funds for: - Coaches’ salaries, hiring staff - Donations to charity - Awards or gifts - Honoraria for Trinity faculty, staff, or current students
Allocation Policies - Travel Expenses • SGABC do not pay for food or miscellanea expenses • SGABC pays for the cheapest transportation method • -Ex. We will pay for a bus, not a limo • SGABC expects individual contributions for at least 1/3 of the cost of trip (food and personal expenses do not count) • Professors’ expenses are not covered • Pay $0.55 per mile for gas money per vehicle
Allocating Policy- Winter/Spring Break trips • 10% of the Annual Budget Committee funds will be set aside as a spending ceiling • Groups wishing to go on trips will bid for the funds • SGABC will match fundraising (money raised from other sources other than individual contributions) • No one organization may get more than half of the available funds
