Awards Assemblies We will have three different Award Assemblies this year. We will combine Fourth and Fifth Grade together for the assemblies, which will include Academic Awards, Character Key Awards and the recognition of students who have made Honor Roll. Assembly Dates: December March May *** You will receive a letter in the mail prior to the assembly to inform you of your child’s award date.
Fulcrum: Stand Proud “Stand Proud” is a program that has come to life with the collaborative efforts of the Conejo Valley Unified School District, the Thousand Oaks Police Department and Fulcrum Learning Systems. This program is offered to all 5th graders in the Conejo Valley School District. It is a set of team building activities which will allow students to access their individual strengths, feel the impact of team contribution and directly experience traits such as courage, encouragement, respect, kindness, support, acceptance, patience, resilience and the powerful gift of self-worth. Which is extremely powerful because when 5th graders become aware of the challenges, victories, differences and similarities of one another, they will have the ability to access a new understanding and appreciation for themselves and of one another . In this atmosphere there is no room for negative, aggressive and unkind behavior. We have the privilege of participating in this event on December 06. • 8:15 • 9:30 to 12:15 • 12:15 - 1:00 lunch • 1:00 - 2:40
