What needs to happen?? • Libraries meet with partnering agencies • Early math and science literacy materials ordered, cataloged • Incorporation of math and science concepts into story times and SLP where appropriate • Program for parents and caregivers planned and held • Marketing of grant activities • Grant Activities are evaluated
When: Libraries meet with partnering agencies First meeting should be ASAP Meet periodically as grant activities required
When: Incorporation of math and science concepts into story times and SLP where appropriate • Plan in March • Conduct?
When:Program for parents and caregivers planned and held • Plan in March • Hold in summer or early fall
When:Marketing of grant activities • Announce grant award -- Now • Before and after grant events (new books added to collection, story time & SLP, parent & caregiver program)
When: Early math and science literacy materials ordered, cataloged • Begin to place orders in March; aim for 95% by May
When: Grant Activities are evaluated • After each program • Monthly circ reports • At six months • Observations throughout grant year
How: Keeping Records of grant activities • Financial • Keep copies of invoices for grant expenditure • Create and keep contracts for speaker/presenter fees • Submit requests for reimbursement monthly
How: Keeping Records of Grant activities • Evaluation • Depending upon how you decided to evaluate the grant it could be: • Creating surveys • Observation lists • Circulation Reports: Special location created for collection
