Our Mission • Provide the early detection of logistics related problems that affect unit and materiel readiness; make logistical assessments in coordination with the supported commands to determine current status, historical trends, corrective and preventative measures for improving unit and command readiness; identification and correction of systemic problems. • Furnish command information and assistance for force modernization, including displaced materiel; and plan for LAP support of mobilization, hostilities, and other contingencies, improving customer support, enhancing Warfighter readiness, while eliminating redundancy. Integrates, coordinates & synchronizes all resources provided by AMC and ASC. Single point of contact between the “Warfighter”, AMC and ASC 2
Logistics Assistance Program (LAP) • The Logistics Assistance Program provides Combatant Commanders and the “Warfighters” with logistics, technical, and administrative support. • Governed by AR 700-4, AR 690-11 and AMC-R 700-19. • Trains soldiers (11,900 soldiers/30,000 hrs annually) • Saves Army money (cost avoidance~~$260M annually) • Provides Technical Expertise: • Readiness • Supply • Ammunition • STAMIS • Radios • Soldier, Chem-Bio • Power & Envir. • Test Facilities/TPS • Ground Msls/UGVs • Sensors • Aircraft (5 types) • Avionics • Automotive • Armament 3
