  1. Megan Mealie: Why Help Nonprofit Organizations?

  2. Megan Mealie is an education executive based in Baden, Pennsylvania. She is known for compassion, leadership and philanthropic efforts in her community, and she often volunteers with local animal shelters in her free time

  3. In addition to donating her time to animal shelters, Megan Mealie volunteers with local youth sports programs and has worked with multiple local nonprofit organizations. The multifaceted, faith-based foundation known as the Center for Hope, for example. Mealie is happy to help such nonprofits despite her busy life as a mother and education professional. Reasons like those below might shed light on what motivates people to take time from their days to help others:

  4. Every Effort Has an Impact Whether you give just one dollar or just one hour of your time, every effort you make will have an impact for the cause you believe in. To say that you cannot afford the time, money or resource donations for a charity is to deny the power of even the smallest effort.

  5. Generosity Increases Happiness Those who are generous are, on average, happier. The act of helping those who need it provides a sense of worth and can change your outlook on life.

  6. Giving Sets an Example If you have children, giving time, money or resources to charity sets an example. Your little ones will grow up knowing that you care about the wellbeing of others and they are likely to incorporate this generous personality trait in their own lives later.

  7. Megan Mealie has received multiple professional accolades, including the School Board Administrator’s Award and the Superintendents Recognition Award. To earn career awards, serve as a responsible mother and still help nonprofit organizations requires exceptional work/life balance.
