  1. "Rumat" means in English "ugly people" and "ne" means "they". "Vaatteet" is "clothes" but "vaatteilla" is kind of like "to do something with clothes" and "koreilee" (in other words in Finnish it is "hienostella") means "looks good" or according to the dictionary "show off" and "give oneself airs". I would translated it "Ugly people try to cover their bad looks wearing fancy clothes and jewellery". They want to look better. If you read between the lines, it can also mean that beautiful people don't wear any make-up or fancy clothes or jewellery. RUMAT NE VAATTEILLA KOREILEE

  2. There is a funny expresión in Spanish which would match to the Finnish one. It talks about a monkey female dressed in silk clothes and it means that it doesn’t mind what she wears on, even if it is very nice and expensive, a monkey is a monkey after all.
