  2. We gave A&M Consolidated High School 4 stars because of the great people we interacted with and learned from. The spring semester was the key time to learn the skills it takes to be an athletic director. Everything from meetings with the Superintendent on budgets to spring training for football.

  8. Words of Wisdom • Don’t always expect to start at the top (or the middle) you have to work your way up. • Be willing to do tasks that might not seem so great. Like tons of laundry and football practice in the rain. • Have a strong stomach. Locker rooms smell bad!!

  9. Internship Objectives • How to successfully start and run a school sports team. • How to design and run drills for different sports teams. • How to prepare and run an athletic event. • How to properly organize a football schedule.

  10. Daily Activities • Secretarial Duties including phone calls, emailing and faxing. • Daily football athletic classes including running drills and keeping track of times and weights. • LAUNDRY, LAUNDRY, LAUNDRY!

  11. Project Description- Middle School Soccer • Lauren- I went around to promote tryouts to AMCMS and CSMS PE classes. • Glenn- I helped set up the fields for tryouts and made sure all equipment was in the right place. • We both contacted possible coaches, found uniforms, nets and fields to be used for the season and checked in athletes for tryouts.
