The Transition: Full Consecration To God. 12:1-2 “Transformed.” (cf. Rom. 6:4-7) Basis of consecration is a total transformation of character, a radical change. • This radical change involves a turning from and a turning toward, a putting off and a putting on. See. 1 Cor. 7:31; Eph. 2:2ff; Col. 3:1ff. a. The former conduct grew out of ignorance. Eph. 2:2; cf. 4:17; 1 Pet. 1:14, 15 b. ( Cf. 2 Cor. 10:5; Eph. 4:23-24; cf. 2 Cor. 4:16 “day by day”) a. This demands study of the Scriptures (cf. Tit. 2:11-12). This change of heart or mind of man does not come quickly. Cf. Mt. 28:19
