  1. Melanie Lawrence - Lakeville RCE Advocate at Southeast Service Cooperative

  2. In 2014, Melanie Lawrence (Lakeville) transitioned from classroom teaching to a leadership role within Richfield Public Schools, taking on the position of Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA). In this capacity, she was instrumental in developing and implementing the district's first teacher-led evaluation and professional development systems.

  3. Melanie Lawrence-Smith’s leadership in these areas underscored her commitment to fostering professional growth among educators and enhancing instructional quality across the district. By 2017, Lawrence's exemplary work led to her appointment as the assistant principal at Richfield STEM Elementary.

  4. In this role, Melanie Lawrence (Lakeville) supervised over 800 students and more than 70 staff members, applying her extensive experience and leadership skills to support a large and dynamic school community.

  5. Melanie Lawrence-Smith’s focus on collaborative leadership, data-driven decision making, and equity ensured that the school's educational programs met the diverse needs of its students.
