IEEE 802.24 Smart Grid TAG Discussion on NIST Framework and Roadmap for 5 Smart Grid Interoperability Standards, Release 3.0
Updated Framework NIST announcement April 16th: The Draft NIST Framework 3.0 Now Available for Public Comment URL http://www.nist.gov/smartgrid/upload/Draft-NIST-SG-Framework-3.pdf
Catalog of Standards • Table 4-1 “Identified Standards” (p69) • Includes 74 standards from various sources • IEEE 802 is (still) not included
SGIP Process • IEEE 802 input to SGIP • Spreadsheets from 802 WG provided over past 3-4 years. • SIF documents provided by 802.24 • 160 standards are on a list of “CoS Standards Review Pending” • Including IEEE 802
Next Steps • Does this Framework matter anymore? • The SGIP process for maintaining the CoS is apparently not working • Is it worth our effort to comment or respond?
