Why was the import sensitive issue? • transport and breeding condition for the species (welfare) • 1. import of dolphins in the CZ • importer publicly presented shows with dolphins (Dolphins in Praque) • dolphins were planning to keep in tent with pool – mobile facility (not allowed under vet law) • tickets were sold before the application for permit • massive advertising campaign

Letter to the SA Ukraine: questions about facility – description, history, character, previous exports etc. questions about parental stock – origin questions about breeding operation – production of F, C generation, mortality, health complication questions about specimens – subspecies, physicall condition purpose of the transaction (E, S) No reply was received to the date of the opinion What were our steps?
