  1. Perkins Mini-Grant Competition • Owens Community College • Putting the “FUN” back in Federal and State FUNding! • Heath Huber: justin_huber@owens.edu

What it is • College-wide competition to earn a share of Perkins allocation for the fiscal year. • Still at Provost’s discretion (line items exist), but the results become the plan submitted to the Provost which become the plan submitted to the state. • A way to Introduce a reluctant population to grant writing • Grants office will clarify but not help in writing • RFP process with paper submissions • Read and scored by a committee of three • Cut score developed • Allocations awarded

  3. Our Main Resources(What’s online for folks) • Technical Presentation (PowerPoint) • RFP (application) • Score Sheet • Samples and list of awarded proposals • Technical Letter of Support • Model Release • Time and Effort Report • Travel Report • Mid-year and End of Year Reports

  4. During the year • Pre-award meetings (Project Director Handbook) • Midyear Report • April 1st spending deadline • Reallocate any extra • End of Year Report • Have fun with CCIP!
