RISKS IDENTIFICATION • Several cases we face most of the time : • Damage on the ground (offices, telecom rooms, …) • Manual work (machines, chassis weight, …) • Road risk (access track in altitude, road border…) • Electricity (near HV materials, TCM equipments …) • Outdoor work (insects, storm during work on PSTN connecting box…) • Optical fibber utilization (laser, skin penetration by fibber, …) • Falls from heights (line traps control, …) • Antenna (magnetic radiation, …) • Fire (by electricity, forest fire in period of drought near TCM installations, …) D2.33 : P.PARISOT (France)

PREVENTIVE ACTIONS • Enable accidents to be avoided • Reference data for standardized protection equipments (gloves, goggles, …) • Documented procedures for preventative measures • Trainings • Operating methods and specific documented operating methods (delimited intervention area, work on TCM lead cables, …) • Single-use protection equipments • Hearing protection • Mandatory clearances for workers, level depending on work type • … D2.33 : P.PARISOT (France)

PTI CASE : SPECIFIC TOOLS • Lone worker protection system that are used for TCM works in RTE sites (Protection du Travailleur Isolé - substations, district control centers) • Loss of verticality alarm system • “Dead-man detection” system : timer that need to be periodically manually activated otherwise alarm generation D2.33 : P.PARISOT (France)
