Creating Classroom Respect Agreements • 1. Jot down all the ways you can think of to keep our classroom an ideal place for learning • Consider how it will look, sound, feel…
2. Share ideas with your group by jotting them down in one corner of the placemat template provided. • Leave the centre area blank for now.
3. Determine 3 or 4 common ideas written in the corners • One person records these common ideas in the center
4. Person having the next birthday in the group collects the supplies for the next step • In large printing, recopy the ideas from the centre area on the placemat on to the sticky notes provided • ONE IDEA PER STICKY NOTE SHEET • Place sticky notes on the board up front
5. Sort out suggestions under common headings • 6. Put agreements in P.A.W.S. language • Present-tense • Affirmative • We statements • Short statements
