Jesus performed miracles to test and strengthen the faith of believers • He told His followers He was the Bread of Life • Many did not believe in Him any more when He said they would eat His flesh and drink His blood • The Las Supper was the first Mass • The bread and wine truly become Jesus, His Real Presence • He is also really, physically present in the tabernacle.

Things to know: • The form and matter of the Sacrament of Holy Communion • Why the Eucharist is called the Mystery of Faith • The effects of the Eucharist: • Increases grace in our soul, sanctifying and sacramental • Takes away venial sin • Strengthens us against our weaknesses and faults • Brings us closer to Heaven • Brings us closer to our brothers and sisters in Christ
