PA eDIRECT • PA eDIRECT is a web portal that is used for the Pennsylvania Voluntary Model Curriculum, Classroom Diagnostic Tools, and Keystone Exams • Used by Technology Coordinators for the distribution of the PA Online Assessment software • Used by Test Coordinators for access to the Test Setup tools and tutorials • Student tutorials are available publicly on the PA eDIRECT site • Users granted access to PA eDIRECT will be notified of their access through email • Permissions based system
Meeting Logistics • All participant microphones are currently muted. • Submit questions as we go using the Questions feature. • Use the “Raise Hand” button under the participant list to indicate you have a question. • There will be a small (5 minute) break between the Field Test and Operational discussion • At the end of the presentation, there will be a question-and-answer period. • The host will read through the list of questions posed throughout the presentation and then answer subsequent questions as they arise.

Field Test Process Overview – Algebra II, Geometry, & English Composition
Paper Sessions - PrecodeLabels • Districts will receive precode labels for use on the Paper/Pencil exam based on the students you identify in Student Groups. • If no students are placed into Student Groups prior to March 18th, you will not receive precode labels and will need to hand bubble student information.

Field Test – Test Sessions • Test Sessions will be created by DRC, based on the enrollments entered. • Paper/Pencil ONLY • Students will be added to a Test Session by DRC. • Test Session will indicate the paper test mode. • All Students will receive a Student Precode Label if added to Student Group by March 18, 2011. • Students added after March 18th will need to have a District/School Label used on the answer book for testing. This will require Administrators to hand bubble Student Information (PAsecureID, Class, Birthdate, Etc.) on the Keystone Exams.
Field Test - Test Sessions (cont.) • Dual (Online & Paper/pencil): • Students will be added to a test session by DRC. • Two Test Sessions will be created for Dual enrolled schools: • Online • Paper/pencil • Students split 50/50 between the two Test Sessions • NOTE: There is no control over which mode (paper or online) students will take. This is done randomly to achieve nonbiased results for data analysis purposes. • All Students added to the paper/pencil Test Session will receive a precode label if added to a Student Group by March 18, 2011.
