COMMUNICATION DEVICES (BYOD) • Remember…this is a privilege, not a right • “One-Bud Policy” • NO large headphones on campus (includes bus parking lot) • Usage only permitted during non-instructional settings unless supervising staff says otherwise • NO pictures and/or video-recording

PRIVILEGES • Privileges will increase as students progress through grade levels • School Functions (athletics, activities and social functions) • Must be eligible to participate • Based on discipline, grades and attendance • No Credit Status = No participation • School rules are in effect • Alcohol/Drug Free
SCHOOL SECURITY • All visitors must check in at the Main Office • 2 drills per month • Do not open the doors for ANYONE!!! • Lock it up!
ATTENDANCE • 11 or more unexcused absences = No Credit Status • Pupils who are on NO CREDIT STATUS WILL NOT BE eligible for sports, activities and social functions. • Remember to turn in any parent notes the following day (absences only). • Remember to turn in any doctor’s notes the following day as well. • Excused absences: illness, death in the family, doctor/dentist, court, education opportunity. • FAMILY VACATIONS ARE NOT EXCUSED!
TARDINESS • Students must sign in at the Main Office upon arrival after the 1st Block late bell rings (7:35 am). • Parent notes WILL NOT BE accepted for late arrivals. • Lateness Policy: • Any student signing in after homeroom will not receive credit for the day. • Lates 1 – 4: Teacher Detention/Warning • Lates 5 – 15: Central Detention for each late • Lates 16 – 20: Saturday Detention for each late • Lates 21 or more: Administrator’s Discretion Progressive lates can result in Out-of-School Suspension

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS • Freshman must have 120 credits to graduate • Example: • 9th grade = 6 classes = 30 credits • 10th grade = 6 classes = 30 credits • 11th grade = 6 classes = 30 credits • 12th grade = 6 classes = 30 credits • Total = 120 credits

ELIGIBILITY • Fall – All incoming freshman are eligible. • Must pass six (6) classes in the first marking period to remain eligible and complete the season!!
ELIGIBILITY • Upperclassmen (grades 10, 11 and 12) must pass six (6) classes (30 credits) in the previous school year to be eligible to compete in the fall. • Eligibility rules follow freshman guidelines for remaining seasons until graduation occurs.
ELIGIBILITY Winter Season: Must pass six (6) classes in the first marking period to be eligible and six (6) classes in the second marking period to remain eligible and complete the season. Spring Season: Must pass six (6) classes in the first semester and six (6) classes in the second marking period to be eligible. Students must also pass six (6) classes in the third marking period to remain eligible and complete the season.
PARTICIPATION FEE • All students participating in athletics and activities are required to pay a one time participation fee of $100 prior to the first competition. • Any student receiving free and reduced lunch are exempt. • Online payment can be made at www.eht.k12.nj.us
