Most mammals have these characteristics: • They are warm-blooded. • They have hair or fur. • Mammals give birth to live animals. • They feed their babies with mothers milk. • Mammals breathe through lungs.
Leopards and lions are both mammals. Both are warm-blooded, have fur, give birth to live cubs, feed their babies with mother’s milk, and breathe with lungs.
Lion Baby lions are called cubs. They learn to be fierce by playing with the mother lions.
Lion Lions have strong legs to run fast. They can run up to 40 miles per hour after their favorite meal. They like to eat zebras, warthogs, and buffalo.
Lion The sharp two front teeth help the lion to grip and catch its food. The lion also uses its two top front teeth and it’s bottom two front teeth to help it tear its meat. Lions like to eat deer, zebra, and giraffes.
Lion • Groups of female lions typically hunt together. The females stay in a pride (or family unit) and help protect all the cubs. Lions use their tongues to groom their young.
