  3. Definitions of Pronouns • Personal • Possessive • Demonstrative • Intensive • Reflexive • Interrogative • Relative • Indefinite Match the pronoun to the definition (see blue definitions in the textbook) – 8 points

  4. Types of Pronouns Using the types of pronouns - personal, possessive, demonstrative, intensive, reflexive, interrogative, relative, indefinite – select the one that identifies the underlined word – 8 points EXAMPLE: Maria never missed a chance to pat herself on the back. ANSWER??

  5. Types of Verbs • Identify the type of verb which is underlined – • Linking verb • Transitive action verb • Intransitive action verb • Verb phrase • Auxiliary verb - 5 points EXAMPLE: Sylvia should arrive soon. ANSWER???

  9. Sentence Creation • Write a sentence that includes each of the eight parts of speech – 2 points • Label each part of speech over the correct word – 8 points (1 per word correctly identified).

  10. Identifying Parts of Speech • Give the correct part of speech for each of the underlined words in the following sentences – 20 points HINT: See workbook page 73. If you can do this page, you will do fine on the last twenty points on the test.

  11. BONUS POINTS • Give the part of speech for each word in a given sentence – up to 4 bonus points. EXAMPLE: Hey, Mrs. Wynn is the very coolest teacher at Alabama Christian Academy and we love her. ANSWER???
