Additional Pathways for Sec 4N(A) Direct-Entry-Scheme-to-Polytechnic • Builds on the ITE Direct-Entry-Scheme (DES) which was introduced in 2008. • Catersto students in the top 10th-percentile to 30th percentile of the Sec 4N(A) cohort, i.e. the 20% after the top 10% qualifying to apply for the Polytechnic FP.
Additional Pathways for Sec 4N(A) Direct-Entry-Scheme-to-Polytechnic • Need to obtain an ELMAB3 (English, Math, Best 3 Subjects) raw aggregate score of 19 points or better • In addition, the EL ≤ 4 and MA ≤ 4, to be eligible to apply to Applied Sciences, Engineering and Info-Communications Technology programmes. • To apply to Business and Services, the eligibility is EL ≤ 3 and MA ≤ 4.

Entry Requirements • Higher Nitec in Wireless Technology • 3 “O” level passes (including English & Math) • Relevant Science subject • Nitec in Communications Technology • 2 ‘O’ level passes in any subjects • Or 3 ’N’ level passes in Maths and 2 other subjects • Nitec in Service skills (Office) (Traineeship) -- 2 “O” level passes any subjects or -- 3 “N” level passes in English and any 2 other subjects • ISC in Health Care • Completed ‘N’ levels
