  4. RULES • Be respectful • Be safe • Be kind • Do your best

  5. Discipline • Verbal warning • Brief 1-on-1 • Loss of recess • Notify parents • Meet with principal

  6. Homework • Assigned 4 nights a week • Spelling and Math • 3pts per assignment • 2pts for late assignment, completed at recess

  7. Projects • Reading – Students will complete a Reading project every 4 – 6 weeks. • Social Studies – Students will complete a few projects over the course of the year. Information regarding them will be discussed as needed. • Science – First year of the Science Fair!! This is a no stress activity. Have some fun! Directions to come out in the Spring.

Grading System • Student who earns a 4… • Makes in-depth inferences and applications that go beyond material taught • Student who earns a 3… • STANDARD HAS BEEN MET • Student who earns a 2… • Completes simpler processes but not complex activities • Student who earns a 1… • Demonstrates minimal understanding of grade level standards • Student who earns a 0… • Even with help, no understanding is shown.

  11. Reading • Advanced 4th grade reader • 120 minutes per day • 30 min engaged at school • 30 min free reading at school • 30 min reading other materials • 30 min free reading at home
