Important things to remember about font • Font: • Text of a certain design, available in hundreds of varieties. • Called typeface. • Style: • The way a font looks: Bold, Italic, regular • Points: • The measurement of a font’s height • 72 points is one inch high • most text is 12 points high. The text gets bigger as it gets taller.

Important things to remember about font • Monospace: • A font in which all the letters are the same width • like on old typewriters. • Courier is a monospaced font. • Proportional: • A font whose letters are only as wide as they need to be. • The I is skinny, and the W is wide. • Most new fonts are proportional such as Times, Helvetica, Geneva, etc.
