Objective: I can identify rising action events in a text. Warm Up (in your composition book) Copy today's date and the objective into your comp book. In your notes, draw a copy of the plot diagram and label all the parts.

Review questions... Chapter 7 Is being unable to shovel dirt the only way in which Stanley feels like he is defective? Why or why not? Explain your answer. What does Stanley learn from digging his first hole? Why do you think he feels proud when his hole is finished?
