  2. How Do Bat mothers care for their babies. • Female bats give birth. • Bat pups do not have fur, they need a warm/humid place to keep them safe. • Nurse their bat pups with milk. • Locate their bat pups by using sight, smell, sound, and position.

  3. Echolocation • Eyes are used passively to sense surroundings. • Call out high-pitched sounds and listen for the echo to bounce off objects. • Listen for the sound to return.

  4. Different foods bats eat. • Insects • Fruit • Fish • Pollen

  5. Bats are important to the world. • Bats keep insect population down. • Bats eat insects that would destroy crops.
