  1. Have your say on the future of autismresearch 10:00am – 12:00 midday Tuesday 18th September 2012 Merton Mencap, The Wilson Hospital, Cranmer Road, Mitcham, CR4 4TP The Centre for Research in Autism and Education (CRAE) and Merton Mencap would like to invite parents of children with an autism spectrum condition to take part in a group discussion on the subject of autism research. Specifically, we would like to know: How do you feel about current research on autism? How does it fit with your priorities? What kind of research would you like to see in the future? We expect the session to last approx. 1.5-2 hours, including time for tea and biscuits! We hope the session will enable you to hear more about, and also potentially influence, the UK’s autism research agenda (no prior knowledge necessary!). We will reimburse any travel costs incurred. If you would like to take part, please contact Merton Mencap’s Tracy Blackwell at kids.first@swlondonmencap.nhs.uk or 020 8687 4644. If you have any questions you would like to ask before making a decision, please contact Adam Dinsmore at a.dinsmore@ioe.ac.uk or 0207 331 5135.
