Defending Skills • Defending skills are used to help us deal with unwanted pressure from others. • This is not a physical form, yet a mental one. • We must protect our “Physical Space.” • Always be prepared!

Defending Skills II • Sometimes the best way to handle conflict is through silence. • Think of things to say in difficult situations. • Give some examples. • If you can, you want to maintain the relationship!
