3. Essay introduction extracts: 4 groups of staff all have different pay, benefits and employment contracts.
The recent climate survey* results highlighted some areas for concern, e.g. ‘We are “one team”’ (36c) - only 50% of staff agreed with this statement (Morrison’s PLC 2011).
We need to first understand how to motivate such a diverse group of people and to generate a feeling of belonging amongst all staff.
Part B ... build towards ‘one team’ and increasing team motivation through greater understanding of motivational theory.
