ASCE COMMITTEE ON CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE (CCI)

Created in January 2005, the Committee on Critical Infrastructure (CCI) provides vision, guidance, and direction on multi-hazard protection of critical infrastructure. CCI promotes awareness, influences policies, and facilitates activities related to critical infrastructure resilience. They ensure ASCE's proactive leadership role and identify required resources and funding sources.

Committee on Critical Infrastructure (CCI) • Created in January 2005 • Provide vision, guidance, and direction on activities related to multi-hazard protection of critical infrastructure • Ensure ASCE proactive leadership role • Build critical infrastructure related coalitions • Identify required resources and funding sources

  3. Mission • CCI provides insight and guidance to ASCE on its internal and external activities related to critical infrastructure resilience • CCI identifies, influences, and facilitates ASCE critical infrastructure activities

  4. Goals • Promote awareness in ASCE and the general public regarding sensible security and critical infrastructure resilience via planning, design, preparedness, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance, and response, mitigation, and recovery from multihazard conditions • Provide structure, policies, and procedures for ASCE responses to events of national and/or international significance • Ensure that ASCE maintains its proactive leadership role in key national critical infrastructure issues, via internal and external coalitions, as appropriate
