EOPS and CARE • The Extended Opportunity Program and Services (EOPS) provides positive encouragement directed to the enrollment, retention, and transfer/transition of disadvantaged students, and works to stimulate their interest in social and intellectual, educational, and vocational development.

More on EOPS and CARE • Economically and educationally disadvantaged students are eligible • EOPS provides • Financial Assistance • Registration Priority • Counseling • Transfer Assistance • Cultural Activities • Often combined with C.A.R.E Program • C.A.R.E is a program to assist single parents on AFDC • Data is reported to the State as an MIS report

  19. DSPS • Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSP&S) provides support services, specialized instruction, and educational accommodations to students with disabilities so that they can participate as fully and benefit as equitably from the college experience as their non-disabled peers.

  25. TRIO • The Federal TRIO Programs are educational opportunity outreach programs designed to motivate and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds. TRIO includes six outreach and support programs targeted to serve and assist low-income, first-generation college students, and students with disabilities to progress through the academic pipeline from middle school to postbaccalaureate programs.

  26. Tracking TRIO Students In Banner • There is not a dedicated Banner form for tracking TRIO participation • Attributes can be used (SGASADD) • Services can be tracked on SEADETL and SGADISA • Financial Aid and Grants are disbursed to Banner Student Accounts Receivable
