  20. Grading Scale: • 90%-100% A • 80%-89% B • 74%-79% C • 70%-73% D • Below 70% U Conduct and effort grades are assessed as E (excellent), S (satisfactory), N (needs improvement), or U (unsatisfactory).

  21. Grade Expectations • MustMaintain an A or B average - Review of progress: Mid-term & End of Semester A grade below a B at mid-term (9 weeks) or end of semester (18 weeks) will result in dismissal from ACM.

  22. Grading Percentages for Math classes: • 50% Classroom • 40% Summative • 5%  Interim Assessments • 5 % Mid Year Assessments and End of Year Assessments

Suggestions for parents: • Check calendar daily with your child. • Help with assignments. “Your way” is fine. • Have him/her teach to you or a younger sibling. • Go through the Math notebook with your child. • Expect it to be challenging…it should be, and that’s good! • Be patient. Studying in math may be new. • Be encouraging!
