Rosetta stone • The stone was discovered in mid July 1799 • Rosetta stone contains three separated bands of writing which are inscribed with text from three different languages • The stones discovery wasn’t said till September 1799. • It was shipped to Cairo in mid-August, and became an object of study at the Institute.
