  11. Map B - Two streets that are perpendicular - Two streets that are parallel- One street that is a ray- A YMCA in the shape of a trapezoid - A pool that is in the shape of a rhombus -A school in the shape of a right triangle - A library that is in the shape of a quadrilateral - Your house in the shape of a rectangle - An ice cream shop in the shape of an acute triangle. - Your map must also include a compass rose

  12. Extension Once your map is completed you are to write out five directions from one place to another. Each direction must have one of these terms: parallel, intersecting or perpendicular. These directions should be able to get your teacher and classmates from one place to another without getting lost!

  13. Writing

  14. I went to Disney World this summer for vacation. It was really fun. I liked going on the ride, It’s a Small World. It was cute. Space Mountain was definitely my favorite, it’s very fast. The hotel we stayed at had a swim up bar at the pool where I got a coconut slushy and drank it on the raft. They also had a gigantic movie screen where we could watch movies while floating in the pool at night. On our last night there, we saw the fireworks explode over Cinderella’s Castle, it was spectacular. Rewrite this paragraph below using a good sentence to “hook” the audience. At least one example of imagery and one simile.
