Please take the time to consider which “Endorsement” you chose on your 9th grade schedule and “Career Pathway” classes you would like to take in the 10th/11th/12/ grades. Remember!!!! These are the “STATE of Texas” Requirements>>>>>>>>>>
Foundation High School Plan – 22 Credits Social Studies - 3 credits U.S. History U.S. Government (one-half credit) Economics (one-half credit) World Geography or World History or Combined World History/World Geography Languages Other Than English 2 credits in the same language Computer programming language (other exceptions) Physical Education - 1 credit Fine Arts - 1 credit Electives - 5 credits English Language Arts - 4 credits • English I • English II • English III • Advanced English Course Mathematics - 3 credits • Algebra I • Geometry • Advanced Mathematics Course Science - 3 credits • Biology • IPC or Advanced Science Course • Advanced Science Course
How will this work at Collegiate High School? Upon completing the high school diploma and Associates of Arts Degree, students attending Cedar Hill Collegiate High School will earn: • Endorsement in Multidisciplinary Studies • Distinguished Achievement (Next Slide) • Performance Acknowledgements
Distinguished Level of Achievement A student may earn a distinguished level of achievement by successfully completing: • 4 credits Math which must include Algebra II • 4 credits of Science • Completion of Curriculum requirement for at least one Endorsement
Personal Graduation Plans New Requirement: By the STATE of TEXAS All students must complete PGP (Personal Graduation Plan)upon entering High School, that includes the selection of an Endorsement A student may amend (change) his/her personal graduation plan after the initial confirmation of the plan
CHISD PGP • Choose an endorsement and complete NGC form for endorsement and courses for 9th grade (CHCHS Students will complete form upon acceptance) • Complete 4 year plan of courses in Spring of 8th grade year in your Career Class • Update Personal Graduation Plan and Course selection each school year until graduation
CREDITS To graduate, you must obtain all credits and pass the state End of Course (EOC) exams. You must earn: 6 Credits to be a Sophomore 12 Credits to be a Junior 18 Credits to be a Senior 26 Credits to graduate with an endorsement 22 Credits to graduate with Foundation HS Plan

What Is a Endorsement? • An Endorsement is a sequence of courses within your area of interest. • An Endorsement connects from high school to college for a specific degree and/or career. • Many courses within a Endorsement offer concurrent enrollment credit. • An Endorsement will save you time and money toward a college degree.
