  1. Psa 114 is a short psalm praising the power of God as He led Israel through the Egyptian exodus. The acts of His power were to convince Israel & others that the “…hand of the Lord is mighty.”

  2. Bible When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language, Judah became His sanctuary, and Israel His dominion. Psa 114:1-2

  3. The sea saw it, and fled… Psa 114:3a

  4. Psa 114:3b …Jordan turned back.

  5. The mountains skipped like rams, the little hills like lambs. Psa 114:4

  6. Bible What ails you, O sea, that you fled? O Jordan, that you turned back? O mountains, that you skipped like rams? O little hills, like lambs? Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,… Psa 114:5-7

  10. The same God who redeemed Israel from Egyptian bondage has redeemed us from sin’s bondage. The same God who demanded Israel’s loyalty in the 1st covenant demands our faithfulness in the 2nd covenant.
