  5. Fear or Reverence? • Why does God want reverence and not fear?

For us Today • Moses stretches his arms • First time to show God’s love • Second time to administer God’s justice • According to Matthew’s Gospel Jesus replaces Moses • We are taught that God’s power to show His love and grace to people was given to us at Pentecost (separation of the Sea) • We are taught the we cannot pronounce justice/judgment. However, like Moses we can vehicles of God’s justice
