Biblical Points • “Lord” was a title used to address a superior, outstanding teacher, holy person, miracle worker “Outer Darkness” means ignorance “Weeping and gnashing of teeth” means disappointment and regret “Seat of Abraham” means inclusion in the Kingdom of Heaven
•Centurion with a slave •Faith in Jesus is salvation Greek/Western Thinking
•Centurion; no Roman soldiers in Capernaum/Galilee during Jesus day •Questionable if a centurion could bring a slave with him •Centurion would be alone in a Jewish group of people •Jesus spoke Aramaic not Greek Greek/Western Thinking Flaws

For us today a. Do you believe in salvation through the acts of Jesus? b. Do you believe what Jesus said? c. Are you following Jesus’ words? d. People who “have faith” in Jesus’ salvation but do not follow His words will be disappointed on judgment day
