Instructions Please fill out the survey and then answer the questions on the following slides. You will be given 12 seconds to estimate the answer to each problem. A blank slide will appear after each estimation problem to give you time to record your answer.
#1 George had 32,574 buttons, Bobby had 24,576 buttons, and Max had 77,836 buttons. Estimate how many buttons they have altogether.
#2 Willy had 143,657 blades of grass in his backyard. He then mowed 85,879 of them. Estimate how many are left.
#3 There are 8 pots of soil and each one weighs exactly 52,923 milligrams. Estimate how much they weigh altogether.
#4 There are 896 students in a school and there are 18 buses that carry these students to school. If each bus carries approximately the same number of students, estimate how many each one holds.
