When you have a materials list of 30, 40 or more items to price, you can take advantage of a function in PRISM that allows you to price all of the parts in a single session. It’s in PRISM View Parts Pricing Prev. Next Home
How Do You Access Material Requisition? When you log onto PRISM, if you see this menu, you have View Parts Pricing access and with it, Material Requisition.
Highlight “View Parts Pricing” and press F8 to select it. Screen 0499, “View Pricing Appendix” will appear. • Leave the cursor on the top appendix item, “Generic.”
Press F8 to display the View Parts Pricing Menu. View Part will show individual prices. • To list and price parts, Arrow down to Material Requisition and Press F8 to select it.
H12345 After selecting the Material Requisition option, a “COEO Query” screen displays. Enter a COEO number or a name you can later recall for the file you will save. Press F8 to transmit.
The COEO Number appears at the top of the “Rapid Order Express - Material Requisition” Screen, #1068, and the cursor is at the left on the first line.
TAB to move the cursor to the “Qty” field, and begin to enter data.
After entering the quantity, TAB to the part CPC field or the PEC field and enter the number.
After entering the CPC or PEC, press F8. PRISM will display the remaining detail, Unit Price, Total Price, and Total Cost. • To enter the next item, TAB to the Qty field of the next line.
So far, you have learned to enter a part CPC or PEC into the Material Requisition list and press F8 to have PRISM fill in the details and prices. You can enter up to 100 parts in a single session in this way… however ….
When you have pressed F8 to calculate the part price and cost for the item on the last line of the first screen, you must press ENTER to create a new entry line. Each time you press ENTER you will add a line.
After you press ENTER to add the additional line(s) to the screen, “down arrows” appear at the bottom of the screen. This means you can use the up/down arrows or F3 to scroll the lines of the screen.
From line 13 on, each time you add an item, you must press ENTER to create and display a new empty line for data entry.
Confirming Price/Part Now that you have learned how to enter data, add new lines to the screen, and scroll up and down the screen, you will learn how to find or confirm a price or determine if you have a wrong CPC or PEC.
Confirming Price/Part Before entering parts into the Material Requisition screen, look over the parts list to see if there are any parts that may have child parts (such as NTZZ kits) or special pricing (Cables over 50’).
Confirming Price/Part While in Material Requisition mode, if any part displays $0, “Not Found”, or if the part may have related parts (such as the Line Drawer on line two), you will have to exit to the View Parts menu to check the part or price details.
Confirming Price/Part That does not mean you will lose any work you’ve put in to the list. You have the option to save the list when you press F5 to exit. You will learn more about the save and retrieve options later.
Confirming Price/Part To go and see if a part does indeed have a child part or related parts, or to verify that the part number is correct, ARROW up to the View Parts Pricing Menu, highlight “View Part and press F8.
Confirming Price/Part PRISM displays the “View Part Query Detail” Screen. By default, the cursor is highlighting the Query option. To begin your query, pressENTER.
Confirming Price/Part The View Part Query screen appears. Input the PEC or CPC number and pressF8.
Confirming Price/Part You are now viewing the View Part Query Detail Screen for part NTZZ14EE. TAB to Explode. Then, to call up the details screen, press pressF8.
Confirming Price/Part Exploding the part displays a list of the current price releases. To clear this screen and show the child part(s) screen press F2. PRISM displays a screen that lists the all the child parts.
Select “Session” then “Print” Capture the child part(s) list by printing the screen. To print the screen, click on “Session” at the top left of the TNVT window. Select the “Print” menu, and then select “Screen Contents.”
Confirming Price/Part To view financial information about the sum of the child part(s), access a menu from the Part Explosion Selection Screen by pressing F2. The menu, offers two choices “Query” or “Financials”.
Confirming Price/Part Had you opened the Part Explode Select menu prior to finding the child parts, NTZZ14EE would still be $0. Arrow down now to financial…. Then …. press F8.
Confirming Price/Part Since you found the child parts first, PRISM will now display the price for kit NTZZ14EE. Write down the price and cost for later comparison to the sum of its child parts in Material Requisition.
Returning To Material Requisition After you have confirmed all part numbers and prices, you can return to Material Requisition and enter the part numbers into the saved list or start a new Material Requisition list.
