Close to 50% had a 3.2 GPA or higher • 6 National Merit Scholars (top 5% of country PSAT Score) • 50% enrolled in 4 year College, 23% 2 year, 8 students enrolled in technical School, 16 graduates enlisted. • $8.9 million dollars in scholarships • AP Participation up 33% • 7 Seniors earned an AA degree • 2,533 college credits were earned • 38 Seniors earned All League Teams, Several State Champions Graduating Class 2013 Highlights

Talk to your student about what we recognize! • Special Senior, Local and National Scholarships, Department Student of Year, Student of Quarter, Honor Roll, National Honors Society. • Math is challenging-Utilize free math tutoring, expect work daily, support math teachers! Those that struggle, are often not doing HW. • Listen to your student’s friends talk; help them identify their career interest, plug into our school career guidance center. • Keep Up! New communication tools, Twitter, Facebook • Sign up for E News on website • Want your house prices to increase? Share what you heard tonight! Promote the positive. • Report the rumors and request the facts from the Principal. • Back up teachers-Take what you hear about us with a grain of salt, we’ll do the same about what your son or daughter says about you • Avoid conversations in email. If conflict, request face to face. Smile! Ways you can help!

After School Tutor Support for all students • Teacher/Staff Grants – some examples from last year: • Lab Equipment (Bunsen burners, hot plates, etc) • Technology for the classroom (Apple TVs, iPads, professional broadcast teleprompter, etc) • Enrichment materials (books, etc) • 1stDrum for MSHS’s new drum line! • Live Performance: “Shakespeare at Mount Si” • Student Recognition (Honor Roll, AP Wall, etc) • Family Resource Fair, STEM Fair, Festival of the Arts, … Thanks to Your PTSA Donations, All MSHS Kids Get Enhanced Experience:
