2 UMPIRE SYSTEM REFRESHER • Distance between umpires 30-35m • The umpire shall remain in control of a set kick until the No. 2 umpire arrives to control the set kick • The umpire to retain short straight kicks or lateral kicks and release on long kicks • Additional information Level 1 accreditation manual, section 4 www.aflcommunityclub.com.au
SET KICK CONTROL – GENERAL PLAY Team rules, be predictable to your peers • EZ, and when releasing play from MZ, 15m side on, back to major axis (think grid) • Voice, whistle, voice communication to set mark • Police 5 m protected area • MZ general play, pay – set – go, quickly adjust to midway between kicker and catcher • 6 seconds, whistle x 3, indicate, call play on
