  2. English contains many words adopted from other languages.  In fact, experts estimate 80% of English words originated elsewhere.  The biggest influence on the English vocabulary is Latin.

Here is some quick review information! ambi- means both astro- means star aud- means to hear com/con- means together chron- means time • circum- means around • cid/cis– means to cut or kill • dyn/dyna- means power • hypo- means under • hyper- means over omni- means all post- means after pre- means before un- means not
