  2. Target Audiences • Current Teachers with a Multiple Subjects Credential • Current Teachers with a Single Subject Credential in another subject • Future Middle School Teachers – Liberal Studies Majors and students in the Multiple Subjects Credential Program

  3. Foundational Math Subject Matter Program Approval Process • CSUEB has an approved Single Subject Matter Preparation Program so the process is very simple • Submitted documents to the CTC, Helen Hawley • Helen Hawley submitted the program to the Board of Education for approval • Documents submitted • Core Math Courses and Extended Study Courses • Syllabi for all courses • Brief document illustrating how the courses meet the domain requirements, see attached word file • Table comparing Foundational and Single Subject programs

Coursework for Foundational Math Subject Matter Preparation Program • Courses (48 quarter units total) • Math 1130 College Algebra • Math 1300 Trig. & Analytic Geom. • Math 2011 Number Systems • Math 4012 Geometry & Measurement • Math 4013 Statistics, Data Analysis & Probability • Math 4014 Algebra and Functions • Math 4030 Adv Study of School Math • Math 1810 Mathematics for Business and Soc. St. • Plus 12 units of Extended Study
