  3. Jesus addresses the hypocrisy of the pharisees’ Vs. 6-13 • He quotes scripture to point out the state of their hearts vs. 6-7 • He calls them out on their made up rules that reveal the true evil in their hearts vs 8-13 • Jesus addresses the crowd that was around him Vs. 14-23

  4. Jesus tells the disciples the state of mans’ heart. Vs. 17-23 • Jesus answers the disciples’ questions. Vs 17-19 • Jesus reveals one of his most important teachings Vs. 19 • The State of the Heart Vs. 20-23

  5. Jesus heals the Syrophoenician women’s daughter Vs. 24-30 • Jesus tests the state of the women’s heart. Vs.24- 28 • Jesus heals the girl from a distance Vs. 29-30

  6. Jesus heals the man who could not speak or hear. Vs. 31-37 • He gave them orders not to tell anyone. Vs. 36 • Conclusion
