Tuesday Voc 1. Absolute - A word free from limitations or qualifications (“best,” “all”) • Ex: MHS is the best high school ever. • Ex: All girls are bad drivers. 2. Ad hominem argument - An argument attacking an individual’s character rather than his or her position on an issue
TAKS Essays • Mostly 3s and 4s • 3s needed: • More specific details: names, places, people • Describe smaller events, narrate them, rather than simply praising a big event • Ex: In addition to saying camp was great and life changing, choose one event at camp to narrate in details • Also, narrate your thoughts and feelings as they happen in the story
