  4. Disposal Report • Draft under review • Disposal actions since 1956: • 95 transactions • 25,572 acres • 14 states • Analyzed disposal authorities used • ID current/proposed land use

  5. Disposal Case Studies • 3-page (+/-) write-ups of individual disposals • Data on property and transaction • Discussion of site history, key issues, etc. • Several completed/template developed • Tim Vanek: 4 LM properties • Complete more using template • Noteworthy/unique transactions

  6. Long-Term Leasing • Lease DOE property for redevelopment • Disposal not an option • Use compatible with DOE mission • Nature of use requires long-term lease • Good example: renewable energy • Bad example: nuclear energy (convey fee) • Draft Guidance under review • 40+ years requires GC, HQ review

  7. 10 CFR 770 Issues • Process, timing, nature of HQ review • Description of economic development plan • Determination of fair market value • Justification for less than FMV transfer • Indemnification request
