Overview • A weight is released and pulls down the lever of toaster • Weight hits the lever which in turn triggers a mousetrap • Mousetrap launches a ball at a plank of wood that release gates holding marbles • Marbles roll down a tube onto a slide and push the bread into the toaster • Toast is made!

  3. Energy • Projectile Motion • Marble from mousetrap • Rotational Kinetic Energy • Marbles rolling down tube onto ramp • Linear Momentum • Collision of marbles and bread • Torque • Weight falling on seesaw lever

  4. Design/Construction Issues • Not having an outline • Rubber band not breaking when pulling toaster lever down • Mousetrap not creating enough force to trigger the release of marbles • Bread not sliding down

  5. Conclusion • We learned the value of teamwork • Learned 1000 ways how not to make toast using Rube Goldberg device • The project overall was fun and helped us to understand the concepts that we learned in class
