ES IV Data Workshop November 19, 2004 ES IV SRQU - Conclusions (2) — Preliminary testing of hypothesis revealed differences in the assumed directions, such as higher support needs of single parents, and migrants; — Family functioning and outcome of child-related variables (behaviour) are also influenced by these categories; — The impact of HIV as a single factor remains unclear, as families are confronting not only health-related, but also severe socio-economic problems. — Further analysis needs to be carried out, to further determine the relationships between the different groups of variables (stressors, mediating variables, outcome-variables).
