Allusion: The Rosenbergs • Julian and Ethel Rosenberg were a married couple, convicted of espionage (providing secret information to a foreign, enemy country) against the United States in July 1950. • They were sentenced to death on April 5th, 1951. • The Rosenbergs execution came at the height of the Cold War.
Who is the narrator (the person telling the story)? • What are some of the characteristics of the narrator? How would you describe him or her? • What have we yet to find out her real name? What is the fake name she gives on page (p.11)?
