  1. MIRITI: AN AMAZON MATERIAL BY KASSIA MORIYA

  2. My country is well known as a diversity cultural country, from North to South there are a variety cultures underneath one nation. Brazil: a diversity country

  3. I’m from North Brazil, and my region is also known as Amazon. It’s famous for its beauty nature and diversity of fruits and vegetables.

  4. It’s extracted by the Burutitree. Miriti: light andtough material

  5. In Pará, the Brazilian state where I was born, they use to make handmade toys, boxes, bags, threads etc.

  6. I’m proposing to the Miritibe used as a new material to make shoes’ hills, instead of Cork.

  7. Benefits are: it is lighter than the cork and the Styroform, it’s natural and the extraction of the Miriti can help a lot of poor people that live in this area.

  8. For the global innovation we can not forget the traditional cultures, that, wisely, gives emphasis what really matters: to respect the nature, animals and people in general. What my country can contribute goes beyond of the material, we can contribute with creativity to use different materials in many ways.
