2. Getting Started Request an official transcript for yourself and use it as a reference for completing this section
Include information and corresponding grades for every course you have ever enrolled in at any U.S., U.S. Territorial, or Canadian post-secondary institution
Include all courses, whether you earned credit or not
Include courses removed from your GPA or transcript as a result of academic bankruptcy, forgiveness, or similar institutional policies
Enter courses in the same order in which they are listed on your official transcript
3. Step-by-Step Completion Each Academic Year begins with the Summer term and ends with the Spring term
4. Step-by-Step Completion Each undergraduate status should consist of about 27-35 semester hours
Year in School should change approximately every 2 semesters, 3-4 quarters, or 2-3 trimesters
5. Step-by-Step Completion Enter all letters and numbers that appear for the Course Number on the official transcript
Do not enter the section number
6. Step-by-Step Completion If the Course Name is abbreviated on the transcript, you may enter the abbreviation or the full name
Make sure any abbreviations will be understood by an admission officer
7. Step-by-Step Completion Course Classification should be based entirely on the primary content of the course (See the Course Classification Guide)
AMCAS may change Course Classifications during Verification, but this will not cause your application to be returned
8. Step-by-Step Completion Enter the grade on the official transcript exactly as it appears
If there is no grade listed on the transcript, leave this field blank
9. Step-by-Step Completion Enter the credit hours exactly as they appear on the official transcript
10. Step-by-Step Completion Repeat: The original grade of a repeated course must be entered even in the grade has been removed from the official transcript. Check this box for all attempts of the same course.
Current/Future: These courses are non-binding and the grade should be left blank when entered.
Advanced Placement: AP credit can only be entered if it appears on the official transcript. List AP credit only once, even if more than one institution granted credit.
Pass/Fail: These courses will not be included in your AMCAS GPAs.
